Collaboration Across KQC’s Business Areas in Vietnam and Southeast Asia
The two companies plan to shape their collaboration in Vietnam and Southeast Asia around KQC’s three business areas: quantum security, quantum computing, and AI services.
Quantum Security – PQC Migration for Finance and the Public Sector
Vietnam has included “cybersecurity and quantum technologies” among its ten strategic technology groups under Prime Minister’s Decision No. 21/2026/QD-TTg, effective July 2026, and its new Law on Cybersecurity (No. 116/2025/QH15) took effect on July 1, 2026. Organizations that hold long-lived sensitive data, such as those in finance and the public sector, face a growing need to prepare for “harvest now, decrypt later” (HNDL) threats, in which encrypted data collected today could be decrypted once quantum computers mature.
GEM and KQC plan to introduce KQC’s PQC migration methodology and quantum security solutions to financial institutions, public organizations, and enterprises in Vietnam and across Southeast Asia, and to jointly identify local adoption opportunities. KQC brings the approach it has applied in Korean financial and public-sector environments — starting from a cryptographic asset assessment, setting migration priorities, piloting, and migrating in phases – while GEM will explore supporting local customer engagement and system integration.
The collaboration centers on KQC’s quantum security portfolio: QuantumSpan, a single control plane that covers everything from discovering scattered cryptographic, key, and certificate assets to executing PQC migration and preserving audit evidence; QuHSM, a PQC-based Quantum Safe HSM; and QuKey Bio, a FIDO2 biometric security key combined with post-quantum cryptography. Because KQC’s vendor-neutral approach adds a control and migration layer without replacing existing HSM, PKI, or KMS, organizations can apply it alongside the systems they already run.
Quantum Computing – Optimization for Industry
Qubiteer, KQC’s AI Quantum Solver, lets business users define a problem in natural language and automatically handles everything from mathematical modeling to hybrid quantum-classical computation. Its vendor-neutral architecture connects multiple quantum systems, including D-Wave, IonQ, and IBM, in a single environment.
The two companies plan to explore joint proof-of-concept (PoC) projects that apply quantum algorithms to problems that are hard to solve with classical computing alone – such as operational scheduling, materials discovery, and portfolio optimization — for clients in industries GEM serves, including manufacturing, finance, and telecommunications.
AI Services – AI Agents and GPU Infrastructure
The companies will also explore joint solutions that support AI adoption by Southeast Asian enterprises, combining KQC’s AI services – GPU infrastructure (GPUaaS), natural-language AI modeling, and industry-specific AI agents — with GEM’s AI engineering capabilities.
