[Tokyo] Bridge Software Engineer

LOCATION: Tokyo, Japan

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Collaborate closely with project members to ensure smooth development and delivery.
  • Propose technical solutions to clients and recommend appropriate software development approaches to fulfill their requirements.
  • Conduct source code reviews in accordance with coding standards and established review processes.
  • Design, develop, and test software applications from overall design through implementation.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • 3+ years of professional experience in software development, including proven experience working as a Bridge System Engineer (BrSE).
  • Hands-on experience in both front-end and back-end development.
  • Practical experience working with at least one major public cloud platform, such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • 1+ year of experience as a code reviewer in an environment with established coding conventions and code review processes.
  • Good teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within a project team.
  • Japanese proficiency at N2 level or above, with the ability to collaborate effectively with Japanese clients and stakeholders.
  • Candidates must have hands-on experience in at least one of the following areas. Experience in multiple areas is highly preferred:
    – Docker and/or Kubernetes.
    – Programming languages such as Java, PHP, or .NET.
    – C or C#.
    – CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

PREFERED SKILLS

  • Experience in requirements definition and/or preparing basic design documents.
