To enhance employees’ Japanese language proficiency, GEM is launching a Japanese language training program from beginner level to JLPT N2, covering both communication skills and exam preparation. We are looking for a Japanese Language Instructor to take the lead in this program, from advising on learning pathways and developing training content to delivering lessons and organizing supplementary activities to achieve the program’s goals.
Develop Japanese language teaching materials, curricula, and assessments tailored to different proficiency levels.
Deliver in-person Japanese lessons covering all four language skills (listening, speaking, reading, and writing), from beginner level, and prepare students for the Japanese-Language Proficiency Test (JLPT).
Ensure teaching quality and maintain classroom standards in accordance with company guidelines.
Monitor students’ learning progress and report their performance and learning status to the company’s Training Department.
Provide guidance and answer students’ questions regarding their learning process.
Organize extracurricular activities to complement classroom instruction and create opportunities for students to practice Japanese in a practical environment.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in Japanese Language or a related field, with JLPT N1 certification.
At least 2 years of experience teaching intermediate-level Japanese classes and JLPT preparation courses, preferably with 10–25 students per class.
Experience teaching working professionals, particularly those in the IT industry, is a strong advantage.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with effective presentation and knowledge-delivery abilities.
Teaching certification is preferred.
Ability to develop and compile Japanese language teaching materials.
