Junior/Middle AI Engineer – Onsite Singapore

LOCATION: Hanoi / Ho Chi Minh

JOB DESCRIPTION 

We are looking for Junior/Middle AI Engineer who is available to join as soon as possible. The role requires working onsite in Singapore with our customer. You will be responsible for building production-ready AI applications for customers and internal teams. This is an application engineering role focused on delivering reliable AI products – not training foundation models.

  • Develop backend services and APIs using Python and FastAPI.
  • Build LLM, RAG, and GraphRAG applications.
  • Develop document ingestion, embedding, vector search, and graph retrieval pipelines.
  • Design and manage prompts, evaluation datasets, and AI quality checks.
  • Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
  • Containerise, deploy, and monitor services using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Use AI coding tools responsibly, reviewing and validating all generated code.
  • Collaborate through Git, pull requests, code reviews, and CI/CD workflows.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE 

  • Minimum 2 years of software engineering experience.
  • Strong Python skills and working knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript.
  • Solid understanding of REST APIs, SQL, Git, testing, and software engineering fundamentals.
  • Hands-on experience building applications with LLMs, RAG, AI agents, or open-source models.
  • Good understanding of prompts, tokens, embeddings, and vector search.
  • Familiarity with graph databases, graph data modelling, and Cypher or an equivalent query language.
  • Clear written and spoken English.
  • Eligible to work in Singapore.
  • Immediate onboarding is highly preferred.

NICE TO HAVE

  • Experience with FastAPI, Pydantic, LangChain, LlamaIndex, or LangGraph.
  • Familiarity with Neo4j, pgvector, Qdrant, Milvus, Chroma, or similar technologies.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Linux, or Langfuse.
  • Understanding of AI security risks, including prompt injection, data leakage, and PII handling.
  • A portfolio or production project demonstrating practical AI engineering experience.
