GEM plans big 2022 with growth and global standard for service excellence

The company is fine-tuning its process and service development to pursue CMMi Development Level 3 by the end of 2022.

GEM’s Board of Directors has recently announced its development plans in upcoming years, including an expansion in headcounts and production scale by 50 percent.

Despite the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, GEM has witnessed positive growth as well as potential partnerships. Heading to 2022, to enhance the company’s capacity and each individual’s capability, the Board has approved the implementation of the CMMi3 v2.0 framework and set a goal to achieve the certificate. Deploying CMMi standards can help the company achieve professional and uniform delivery processes, enhance customer satisfaction, and remain competitive.

Why CMMi?

CMMI (Capability Maturity Model Integration) is a process and behavioral model that helps organizations streamline process improvement and encourage productivity and efficiency. The CMMi appraisals are globally recognized and define the level of maturity of companies’ ability in the construction of software and related services.

The category that GEM particularly aims for is CMMi-DEV level 3, which certifies the organization’s implementation of best practices in process standardization and business development.

The transformation journey starts with the people.

In the implementation of CMMi, the core areas being addressed are Project Management, Software Engineering, and the strong commitment of the whole organization to cultivating a professional working environment. With that said, last week, GEM kicked off the CMMi standard implementation with a 4-hour virtual seminar for the whole company. At the event, all the staff learned about their leader’s vision and the upcoming journey they would be a part of.

“Challenges open up opportunities for GEM’s staff, especially those who dare to accept challenges and constantly develop themselves, to take on more important roles in the organization,” said Mr. Ngo Khanh Hoang, GEM CEO.

With the application of the CMMi framework, GEM is looking forward to building and benchmarking its key capabilities to drive better business performance. This also shows the company’s commitment to continuously improving service excellent quality and staying up-to-date with today’s global trends through practical actions.
