GEM: 2021 in review

Last Wednesday, GEM successfully held the year-end party 2021 with the excitement and joyfulness of all staff joining the event. As another exciting Lunar New year is fast approaching, the event was a special occasion for us to reflect on all achievements we have got during the year of the Bull. Though 2021 has been undeniably challenging, thanks to the bold and fearless decisions of GEM’s leader board, GEM managed to pull through all difficulties and even achieved new milestones.

Impressive progress made in new fields

Acknowledging the market trends and customers’ expectations in the data-driven era, GEM decided to harness emerging technologies, namely Artificial Intelligence and Big Data, to address such demands. In less than a year, the young but elite team had scored initial successes from both local and international projects. GEM’s AI team had successfully developed a number of on-demand automation solutions that boost businesses’ performances, while the Big Data division had partnered with its experienced partner in the industry to offer Big Data solutions and expand the market. A high level of customer’s satisfaction and positive feedback is the strong affirmations of GEM’s investment in these promising areas.

The strengthened partnership made way for new market penetration

In 2021, GEM was making further steps into the South Korean market through a partnership with a Korean corporation who was also one of GEM’s first global clients. 2021 also witnessed GEM penetrating into the promising Australian-New Zealand market, as the company had shaken hands with a 25-year-old multinational corporation. GEM would be in charge of multiple projects, making way to reach new opportunities.

“We are taking bold steps to expand our global footprints. Working with big accounts and taking on new roles might be a valuable learning curve for GEM to sharpen our delivery and consulting capabilities and become an elite service provider, and more than that, a trusted consulting firm”  said Mr. Ngo Khanh Hoang, CEO of GEM.

30% growth in headcount

The positive signals in business opportunities led to an inevitable outcome: an increase in the number of employees. This year, GEM welcome the 140th members, celebrating a 30% increase in the total headcount. As a result, GEM also opened the second office in the same building, making room for the staff to work and create more value for our valued customers.

All unremitting efforts of the entire company in 2021 have created the momentum for a bright 2022 ahead.

In 2022, GEM determined to conquer new heights to strengthen our capabilities to become a trustworthy technology service provider. To make it happen, we are on the way to standardizing our process to officially achieve CMMi-DEV level 3 this year and increase the number of headcounts to grow our business effectively.
