Background

Our client, a leading telco group in Vietnam, requested an advanced solution to enhance their decision-making capabilities. In response, GEM developed and implemented a Mobile BI system that provides up-to-date insights and analytical reports on the collaboration between the telecom company and its partners. As a result, the system fostered a more streamlined, transparent workflow and enabled informed decision-making for the business.

Challenges

The main challenges we faced in this project were:  

  • High-security requirements 

The team needed to maintain top-level security to protect sensitive data coming from the client. Confidentiality becomes especially important in the field of telco.  

  • Tight deadline 

We were required to deliver the system within quite a short time frame despite the complexity of the solution development and its implementation 

  • Comprehensive data analysis and reporting 

GEM’s team also needed to take on extracting valuable insights from a large volume of data and create relevant reports upon the client’s requests.

Solution

GEM’s team asked to work onsite at the client’s premises to gain a deeper understanding of the solution’s requirements. This allowed us to closely explore specific processes and align our development strategy with the client’s expectations.

This hands-on approach provided us with critical insights to design an optimal system structure tailored to the client’s needs. In addition, we adhered strictly to the expected release dates by working diligently during the entire duration of the project.

Output

We created a dynamic and high-performing mobile BI system that enhances or unlocks many management capabilities across different functions of the telco group.

  • Seamless management of partner information and partnership agreements, and the cooperation among the company’s departments
  • Collaborative cross-checking and management of financial information, as well as management of the financial data between the company and its partners
  • Tasks allocation and financial and business activities monitoring
  • Automatic calculation of KPIs between the partners and the company, and warnings in case of significant deviations
  • Reporting customers’ complaints related to the services provided by partners on behalf of the telecom group
  • Safe and easy management of all kinds of official documents through the document management module, including:
  • Processing cooperation documents and electronic contracts between partners and the company
  • Archiving and subsequent accessing archived documents

Impact

Thanks to the capabilities mentioned above, the mobile BI system streamlined vital management processes and created better oversight of activities within the telco group, which are extremely important for a business of their size.

In addition, the solution’s updated analytics reports allowed the company to swiftly respond to market trends and make informed strategic decisions.
