Challenges

One of the most formidable challenges faced during the project was the short time frame for the app’s development and implementation compared to its technical requirements. Additionally, the integration of the app with the client’s existing comprehensive website content presented another significant hurdle. The client, being a large firm, had well-established website content. Therefore, ensuring compatibility and efficient functionality between the new app and the pre-existing website was not an easy task.

In response to the client’s requirements and expectations, GEM’s team devised a plan to accelerate the development process by expediting the various phases of coding, testing, and deployment. Meanwhile, we also paid close attention to maintaining security and quality.  

Furthermore, to ensure the compatibility of the app with the existing system, GEM actively collaborated with the client to understand the underlying architecture of their website. This knowledge enabled the development of a series of robust interface protocols and APIs that would allow for seamless communication and data exchange between the two components.

Impacts

The mobile app resulted in a significant increase in the enrolment rate by 30%, demonstrating its effectiveness in boosting the appeal of training activities.  

In addition, the app solution proved extremely helpful in keeping employees informed and monitoring participant numbers, which significantly streamlined the administrative process and allowed staff to focus on more strategic tasks.
