JOB DESCRIPTION 

The Head of Data & AI is responsible for building and leading the company’s Data & AI Business Unit, owning both its technical direction and P&L performance.
He will drive the end-to-end development of Data & AI capabilities, proprietary frameworks, and owned AI solutions, while scaling a high-performing team and ensuring profitable growth across target markets :  Australia, New Zealand, ASEAN, Japan, Korea, and the EU.

1. Business & P&L Leadership:

• Lead and manage the P&L of the Data & AI Business Unit, ensuring revenue growth and profitability.
• Define and execute the Data & AI business strategy and investment roadmap.
• Develop a portfolio of high-value service offerings and AI-driven solutions for global enterprise clients.
• Build and maintain strategic alliances with major cloud and AI ecosystem partners.

2. Capability & Framework Development

• Build world-class technical capabilities across: Data: Cloud/on-prem Data Warehouse, Data Lake, Lakehouse architectures. AI: Agentic AI, AI Agents, AI Applications, Generative AI, and traditional AI/ML. Operations: DataOps, AIOps, and MLOps for scalable automation and reliability.
• Design and own the company’s proprietary Framework for Building Data Platforms, ensuring reusability, security, and scalability.
• Develop and own AI Solutions and reusable components that can be productized or used to enhance client delivery.

3. Team & Capability Growth

• Build a strong Data & AI workforce of at least 15 professionals within the first 6 months, covering Data
• Engineering, AI Engineering, and Solution Architecture.
• Establish and lead a Data & AI Center of Excellence (CoE) to drive innovation, best practices, and skill development.
• Create internal learning, certification, and R&D programs to ensure long-term capability maturity.

4.  Consulting & Solution Delivery

• Build the Data & AI Consulting Practice, providing strategy, architecture, and adoption advisory services to clients.
• Oversee complex Data & AI solution delivery, ensuring business outcomes and technical excellence.
• Develop accelerators, reference architectures, and reusable assets for delivery standardization.

5. Thought Leadership & Market Development

• Represent the company as a thought leader in Data & AI through industry events, publications, and client engagements.
• Develop and publish whitepapers, case studies, and best-practice playbooks to strengthen brand authority.
  Support business development and sales pursuits with technical and strategic expertise.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE 

• 12+ years of experience in Data, AI, or Analytics within IT Services, Consulting, or Enterprise environments.
• Proven success in leading a Data & AI business unit with P&L accountability.
• Deep expertise in modern data architecture, AI/ML engineering, and cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Strong understanding of Generative AI, Agentic AI, and AI productization models.
• Experienced in DataOps, MLOps, and AIOps implementation for scalable automation.
• Excellent leadership, strategic thinking, and cross-functional communication skills.

PREFERRED SKILLS  

• P&L performance: Revenue growth and profitability of the Data & AI Business Unit.
• Team scale-up: Minimum 15-member Data & AI team established within 6 months.
• Productization: Delivery of owned AI Solutions and Data Platform Frameworks adopted in client projects.
• Capability maturity: Skills, certifications, and delivery excellence across the Data & AI workforce.
• Brand impact: Recognition as a leading Data & AI services provider in target regions.
