General Accountant

JOB DESCRIPTION

1. General Ledger & Accounting Operations

  • Collect, verify, and process all daily accounting transactions and journal entries.

  • Monitor and manage revenues, expenses, accounts receivable/payable (AR/AP), fixed assets, depreciation, taxes, and other related accounts.

  • Reconcile data across financial systems and ensure the validity and compliance of all accounting documents.

  • Maintain organized, accurate, and compliant archiving of all financial records and source documents.

2. Payroll Accounting

  • Process monthly payroll, bonuses, allowances, and other employee-related deductions.

  • Calculate and account for statutory insurances (Social Insurance, Health Insurance, Unemployment Insurance) and Personal Income Tax (PIT).

  • Manage and track salary advances and other employee-related payments.

3. Cost Accounting

  • Gather, allocate, and analyze costs to calculate the accurate cost of products, services, or projects.

  • Monitor and analyze cost fluctuations to implement effective cost-control measures.

  • Recommend cost-optimization solutions to improve overall operational efficiency.

4. Reporting & Tax Compliance

  • Prepare financial statements, management reports, and periodic tax returns in accordance with regulations.

  • Generate analytical reports on operational efficiency and Profit & Loss (P&L) statements by project or product line.

  • Handle tax finalization and serve as the primary point of contact for tax authorities and external auditors when required.

5. Collaboration & Other Duties

  • Coordinate closely with other departments to ensure timely and accurate financial data flow.
  • Execute additional tasks and duties as assigned by the Line Manager.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE 

  • College or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a General Accountant role.

  • Solid understanding of accounting principles, tax regulations, payroll processing, and cost accounting.

  • Highly proficient in MS Excel and MISA accounting software.

  • Strong capability in data consolidation, cost analysis, and financial reporting.

  • Meticulous, honest, highly responsible, and capable of working under pressure.

  • Excellent communication, cross-departmental collaboration, and time management skills.

  • Basic reading and writing skills in English; candidates with a TOEIC score of 500+ (or equivalent) are highly preferred.
